“It’s easy to judge. It’s more difficult to understand. Understanding requires compassion, patience, and a willingness to believe that good hearts sometimes choose poor methods. Through judging, we separate. Through understanding, we grow.”
and here tumblr had me thinking it was only black men on social media fetishizing mix race babies and black women being the voice of reason. /sarcasm
this mix race baby nonsense is just a display of internalized self hatred. i mean when that shit becomes a goal, you got fucking problems. if it happens okay but when your ass is plotting and fantasizing, you need to do some serious soul searching.
Well Tumblr always paints that picture about everything
So true
so true. that’s why i often can’t take complaints from black women on tumblr seriously. i’m this close to just turning a complete deaf ear to all of it. fuck y’all.
Yall find any reason to turn shit around and hate on black women like you discovered this and THAT was your takeaway? Turn a deaf ear to black women? 😂😂😂😂 lets make sweeping generalizations to fight generalizations.
Anyway, this shit is disgusting and legitimately made me want to throw up.
just gon ahead and admit y'all don’t like Black women. it’s so transparent at this point
^^^ It really is. Like i could take the time and energy to break this down but what would be the point? Like keep on with your hate at this point. Its not even worth it to try and beg or reason with someone and ask them to stop hating you.
I would waste my time breaking down how the above comments are hypocritical and asinine but this is why the blocking button is for.
Y'all stay making sweeping generalizations about Black men all the time but just a small taste and it’s “just admit you hate Black women?” Yea such stupidity always gets blocked.
This is seriously a two way street family. How can you pick sides on which gender displays the most self hatred or internalized racism? We all are guilty of some form of self hatred that we need to purge from our minds. Sometime we argue amongst ourselves about issues that need compassion and understanding before criticism and judgment. This is a great example of the negative psychological consequences for African Americans in a white surprimist soiecty. Not only seeing european beauty standards as being more attractive by definition, but increased symptoms of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress. The best way to terminate your enemies is from the inside by means of devices that create devision.
I think the people complaining that the main takeaway from this is “AHA, SEE! BLACK WOMEN ARE TRASH, JUST LIKE WE SAID” have a valid point. The point here is that black people (not gender-specific) have a fetishization for mixed race kids. Obviously, one of the bigger issues here is why that is, which I’d go ahead and be willing to bet is the emphasis on European standards of beauty that we are faced with throughout our lives. Taking the posts opportunity to bash black women just seems pointless/off-topic.
i think you are both missing the point of this post. it is NOT to say “see black women are trash like i said” but to instead say “see black women do the same things and yet tumblr (or black tumblr specifically) pretends like it’s only black men.” that’s the point. that was my “inspiration.” that’s the point that i made and both strandedinvegas and iambrandyb agreed to. a point that no unbiased person with experience on black tumblr can disagree with. if this post were of black men talking this fuckery we would be pushing 10k+ notes by now with all manner of “niggas ain’t shit” and “coons” type replies and reblogs. my problem with black tumblr is that it pretends that all issues in the black community stem from and are perpetuated by black men ONLY and takes that position in bashing us into the ground with slurs, generalizations, accusations of all sorts and etc YET when presented with evidence that black women do the same things, suddenly the conversation changes. the tone of how it should be discussed changes. suddenly presenting said evidence AND responding in the same manner THEY respond to ignorant black men is now a problem. all of a sudden generalizations are bad and harmful YET black men have been saying this to them when they go general and we are mocked and belittled. that’s my problem. don’t complain now when the vast majority of y’all love that shit and join when it’s black men and y’all turn a deaf ear to anyone who would object. y’all hit us with the usual “if it ain’t you why you complain for” and “of course we don’t mean all black men” and “they getting all in their feelings.”
people who are complaining about how this attacks black women are completely missing the point AND in so doing prove my point that when the shoe is on the other foot, everything changes. if these were black men, these replies would be filled with all manner of nastiness. there are plenty of posts that stand as examples. is the self hatred shown here a problem? yes. it is a problem for both black men AND women? yes. however let’s be brutality honest here, most only hear and see that it’s a problem in black men. only and that’s my frustration. it is also why i am slowly learning not to pay attention to complaints from most black women on tumblr because it’s hypocritical. they do the very thing they demand not done to them. not a single person would raise a stink if these posts were all black men. no one but switch it up and now everyone suddenly has a problem. smfh. and those who think i’m going extreme by using those black women (not the ones in the tweets mind you cause clearly people can’t read) as a reason not to listen to most black women on here have to be fucking honest with themselves and admit they do the same shit to black men. they take a few, decide we all “ain’t shit” and no one can talk them out if so why can’t they take it now? why can’t we do the same? you would think this would be a moment where we would admit the hyprocrisy and possibly decided to cut that shit out but nope. they’re going to ignore their part in this, play like they’ve done nothing wrong and turn this into a “niggas ain’t shit” post smh. bottom line, we’re supposed to walk around like black women are above reproach and never ever do shit. not over here.
so again, this isn’t a “black women are trash” post. i’ve called out black men on shit like this going way back and still do today. the point here is that black women do it too and so why don’t we speak on that in the very (VERY) same way we speak on it when black men do this bullshit? that’s the conversation i’m trying to have. no red herrings, no appeals to ridicule, no ad hominems, no relative privations and etc. nope. this. the topic and question i’ve presented. let’s discuss that. because again i can’t take y'all seriously when it’s “black man does x” and the response is “niggas ain’t shit, coon motherfuckers, bitchass nigga, fuck them, they hate us so much, we need to stop showing up for black men and etc” but when black women do the very same x, the response is “we need to have a constructive dialogue on this issue, what’s their backstory, they’re just hurting, we need to heal ourselves of all this internalized racism” and etc. if that’s the game y'all going to play, i not going to listen to none of y'all on here anymore. and that’s exactly the right thing to do. there will be many things that keep us black people from truly unifying and this incongruity will be one of them. we should all cut the shit out. black men AND black women but we can’t have this “don’t do x to me while i do x to you” bullshit going around.
and to quote the many black women on here “if it doesn’t apply to you then you have nothing to worry about.”
“of course we don’t mean all black women”
“why y’all getting all in your feelings?”
@kingzcrooks
(also let’s take a moment and appreciate that people think that i’m saying that i’m this close to turning a dear ear to the complaints of black women on tumblr because of the TWEETS and not because of the fact that most always paint the picture that any problem in the black community is because of black men and perpetuated by black men only. appreciate that even when the conversation is right in front of their eyes, they still hear what they want to hear and see what they want to see lmao! wow)
I ain’t even read all that nigga, you wasted time typing. But anywaaays, op is trash. Like why even make it a “black women, too” thing? We know this, instead of getting mad and childish at black women for calling out black men, how about just take accountability for black men just as black women have to take accountability for ourselves. Also, some black women’s reasoning for wanting a mixed race lightskin child is so much different from why a black man wants a mixed race lightskin child. Most black women want a mixed child for the simple fact of not being made fun of or seen as less than, whereas black men want a mixed lightskin baby because they hate themselves and are pedophiles wanting a baby to look like a person they would fuck. Now, that’s not all, it can go both ways honestly, but it’s still ridiculous how you actually wanted to pave your way to show how bad black women could be, like we aren’t seen as bad as it is.
Wait! Did you say “how about just take accountability for black men just as black women have to take accountability for ourselves”? Okay. Here’s a small collection of posts on my site calling all manner of Black male fuckery
Show me yours. If your logic is I’ll should ONLY speak on Black male fuckery and, I guess, you’ll speak on Black female fuckery, show us where you have called out Black women on their shit.
and somehow “not wanting to be made fun of” didn’t make it into your “hate themselves” category? so the premise of your other argument is that ONLY black men want mix race children for the “bad reason” while black women want it for the quasi “good/understandable reason” which conveniently casts them as victims to be feel bad for while black men are villains. even in your argument you show your bias in pretending as if black women can’t be just coonish, just as ignorant as any black man with the same reasons and motivations of coonish black men. laughable. i know my dark skin ass was made fun of by black girls and women all the time growing up. so black men clearly can posses this desire to not be made fun of, to escape the pain of ridicule as well in their decision making process for dating a white woman and wanting mix race babies but recognizing this requires three things: recognizing the emotions of black boys/men, valuing those emotions (in spite of how differently we may express or deal with those emotions as well as accepting that we will express and deal with those emotions differently than women and that’s ok) and fully accepting that black women can be just as coonish and villianish (not a word but whatever) as any black man for the same reasons.
and as for fetishizing, if a black man posted a photo of a mix race girl baby and call that baby cute and the reason they want mix race baby, y’all would call that fetishizing. i see that often from black women tho. funny how that slipped your radar.
but hey you can save your argument by showing at least 10x posts in the past two months… three months (let’s make it easy) where you took black female coonery, black female fuckery to task with the same veracity and ferocity as black men get it. because if you can’t then again you’re being a hyprocrite. i call out black men and black male fuckery all the time. do you do the same for black women and black female fuckery? if not you’re proving my point.
never got an answer. smfh, black tumblr hypocrisy.
@goldenpoc still waiting? i bet she blocked me lmao!!
if there is one thing you can count on black women for is never wanting to own up to their shit. they will call black men out on shut all the live long fucking day but when it comes down time to own up to their shit? crickets. and you can count on them calling you their enemy as a black men if you want let them skate on their bullshit. it will be cries of misogyny and misogynior just for not letting get buy on shit they would happily call black men on. do that and you’ll be fucking enemy of the state but me? nah ain’t never scared.
you ain’t going to hold me to shit you will not hold yourself to. ain’t happening here. my rule on this blog and in my life is simple: recognize and expose all bullshit. everybody and every group has some bullshit. call all the bullshit out. your, their’s, his, hers, liberals, conservatives, red state, blue state, black, white, hispanic, asian, native… whatever. that’s what equality and fairness actually is. hard to find tho. mighty hard to find. especially amongst women and yes black women.
and for you brothas who think that by ignoring the fuckery that black women do you are acting in solidarity with black women, YOU’RE WRONG! in the words of the buddhist proverb
if you befriend another person but lack the mercy to correct him, you are in fact his enemy. the consequences of this offense are extremely difficult to erase. the most important thing is to continually strengthen your compassion to save others from their own slanderous nature.
never holding black women responsible for ANYTHING actually makes you an enemy of black women NOT a friends or ally.
👏 its a two way street
^^^^^ mad hard for ppl to understand this simple ass concept.
Jesus fucking Christ I don’t usually reblog these long posts but honestly how hard is it to understand. ^He is not saying ‘YAY AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHIT ON BLACK WOMEN’ he is acknowledging the fact that we do harm in the community as well, since people love to overlook that fact and demonise black men whilst glorifying black women.
common sense is NOT common .
Damnnn he not lying at all
It’s too early for all this can y’all fight later
One more time for those who hate reading long post!!!!!
Yes, it is long, but take a few minutes to read this. The perspectives of the black community concerning mixed race children is astounding. It’s deep, the argument may seem shallow to some, but this is deep seeing how quickly fingers were pointed and how easily people got offended. The fact of the matter is that the topic of mixed race, as is the topic of colorism, is a two way street.
